With the increasing flow of information and the daily use of the internet and mass communication tools, safeguarding user privacy has become one of the most critical concerns. Many customers worry about the confidentiality of their personal information, such as mobile numbers, names, and email addresses, which are required for registration and logging into the app. To understand and address this concern, Confidentech has implemented privacy and confidentiality policies to protect user information, as outlined below.
What Information Does Confidentech Collect from You?
To register in the Confidentech application, you must provide personal information such as your name, mobile number, and email address. Subsequently, you are required to enter the serial number of the purchased tracker and the address where the device will be installed. Additional personal details, such as the installation address, are collected solely to coordinate the installation of the tracker by authorized Confidentech technicians at the customer’s location. Once the device is installed and you log into the application, the tracker collects the vehicle's location data, which is used to provide tracking services.
Data Storage and Security at Confidentech
One of Confidentech's primary priorities is protecting user account information and preventing unauthorized access. To achieve this, the following measures are implemented in Confidentech's software processes:
- Confidentech's services and features are encrypted using secure SSL protocols.
- During registration, data entry, and password updates, a one-time password (OTP) is used. This OTP is sent only to the registered mobile number.
- Banking or card information entered during payments is processed through the bank's payment gateway and is never received or stored by Confidentech. This information is solely accessible through the bank's gateway.
- Vehicle tracking data is only accessible via the Confidentech app using the user's mobile number and password. For enhanced security, the chosen password must contain at least 8 characters.
In addition to the above security measures, users are advised to follow these security guidelines:
- Do not share your account credentials with others.
- Choose strong and unpredictable passwords.
- If you sell your vehicle, you can remove the installed tracker and transfer it to another vehicle. If you transfer the tracker with the vehicle, update the ownership through the app.
- In case of mobile phone theft, notify Confidentech support to temporarily suspend your account until you regain access. If unauthorized individuals access your information due to not reporting the theft, all responsibilities lie with you, and Confidentech holds no liability.
